WordPress; posting via LiveWriter fixed

fixFinally I was able to fix a problem which I had with a couple of my blogs……

There are all kinds of neat programs out there with which you can make posts to WordPress…. – on my oldest blog I have been using Scribefire and LiveWriter – but on my more recent blogs I was not able to use those programs.
The whole post would like like “something was wrong within the HTML”…. I was not able to figure this one out….
After a lot of searching – and noticing a lot of people with the same problem – I found the reason of “this mistake”…. ;
my host was using a “wrong PHP”  – I told them – but they didn’t see a reason to “just fix this for WordPress”….

And finally – after a while – someone made a plugin which fixed this problem…..

So = if you have problems with posting to WordPress with little external programs like LiveWriter; this could be your solution.

The LibXML2 Fix plugin page says;

Work around for some versions of libxml2 2.7.x that strip out brackets when parsing XML. This plugin fixes XML-RPC requests that are mangled because of this problem. The real fix for this (making the use of this plugin unnecessary) is to use PHP 5.2.9+ with libxml2 2.7.3+.
