I already told you that I did an update for my MSN messenger. Well; not a real update – as I made this a new Windows Vista machine.
So there where no update-problems for me…

But today I wanted to update my MSN Live messenger and Live Writer on my laptop.

What happened…?? It didn’t let me update at all…… at first I had the code “aborted:0×80004004″. So tried to uninstall the old Messenger and Live Writer….
I was successfull with uninstalling the messenger – but not with Live Writer. AND still not able to update…..and I got a new code “hr:0×80070643″.

Starting searching on the internet – but could not find a solution…. not even on the Windows site….

But I still had my Revo Uninstaller…. !!
Only had Live Writer was still installed; so did a COMPLETE uninstall… with even deleting all the registry keys etc = which you can do nicely within Revo.
(it first makes a recovery point also)

And after that; I was able to do a new install of Live Messenger and Live Writer….
I have seen this problem in a lot of forums; so I can imagine that some of my readers will be helped with this one.
