OnMyWordPress; 3rd – AdSense Manager
As you can see on this page; I am using ads to “cover my host bills”…..
In the past I would just “copy and paste” the html code of the ads into my posts. But then – at one point – I wanted to change the size of the ads…. and at another point I decided I didn’t want an ad on that spot….. and at another point I switched from “AdBrite” to “Adsense”….
And I assure you; that is a lot of work to change all this.
Then I discovered AdSense; it will give you “shortcodes” for you ads….
For example; at the moment I am putting between [ and ] ad#1 = it will show you one of my ads….
BUT; what if I decide I want to change that one…?? I just change the code “behind ad#1 – and everywhere this is mentioned on my weblog – the ads will change into the new one.
Furthermore; of every ad you make – it will also make a “widget” = which makes it easy to place ads in the sidebar.
So; placing of ads is way easier… – it works with all kinds of different ads like “AdBrite” – “AdSense” and plain html code.
With also the possibility to ad some extra code; that is how I made my ads show up in the center.
You can pick where the ad should show up; on the frontpage – on a single post – in history etc.
I wish I had this plugin before I changed everything…
