Media Player Classic; the allround music-video player
My favorite media player.
I have been telling you about TVersity – to play music and video via my network on the xbox….
But on the computer I am using this little media player.
The looks are based on the old Windows Media Player. But it has more features and smaller in size !
In combination with the ffdshow (for example; Xvid, Mpeg, H.264 etc) and haali/matroska splitter (mkv files) – it will be able to play (almost) all your music and video files and dvds.
Till now (last 2 years) it played everything on my computer !!

Good one, it’s bundled with K-Lite Codec Pack. Has some problems with really weird files (like h264 stuffed in avi) but very solid player overall.
Hi Rarst; I also have been running K-lite – was running perfectly for me….and all of a sudden….
Changed to FFDSHOW + Matroska – and no problems anymore….
(my TVersity – Xbox360 setup – runs also via these codecs)
