Launchy; quickly starting programs
Are you also going to “Start” – “Programs” – “uh…which one ….” – ” can’t find it”……. when you are searching for a program…?
Or maybe you fill up your desktop with all kinds of shortcuts to the programs you use…??
Or maybe you have another way….; LAUNCHY !!
Launchy is a real small program. After installing you hit “Alt-Space” and it will launch a little screen; just fill in the program you are looking for and it will show up – select it… enter….. and it will start….! It is really this easy !!
You even can add folders - for example to put in a music folder;
Launch “Launchy” – click the little star in the upper right corner (or right click anywhere in Launchy screen – options) – then “Catalog” – in the Directories you add your music folder – in Files types you put “*.mp3″ – add it with the big +
If you have your mp3s in subfolders – make sure that “include subdirectories” is also selected.
When you are finished – try to launch “Lauchy” again (Alt-Space) and type one of the mp3 songs you have… OR maybe a complete folder…..
At first you probably will find it a little “inconvenient” – the Alt-space…. but after a little while…. you will recomment it to all your friends – as this is a real handy program !!!
