iPhone; Cydia not working?
Since yesterday – a lot of people have problems with loading Cydia on their iPhone.
(People who do not know about Cydia; this is a little program to install other programs with – you can only use it on a iPhone which has a jailbreak)
Cydia is loading and then all of sudden it goes back to the springboard.
I have found a couple of solutions and they all go to “problems with the zodttd source”.
The easiest solution is – uninstall the zodttd via the Rock program. (Rock is the Cydia competitor)
Maybe you do not have Rock on your iPhone; then hopefully you still have Blackrain installed.
Open Blackrain – install Rock – and via Rock you can uninstall “zodttd source”.
After that – you will be able uninstall Rock (if you really do not want it) and you will be able to open Cydia.
An other way to make the zodttd files disappear; you need to get to the files of your iPhone.
This is something I have never done and I also didn’t do it this time = but I will give you the way to do it…
(but yeah – same as the Rock solution; all on your own risk !!)
Go to /var/lib/apt/lists/ and delete the three zodttd files.
Go to /private/etc/apt/sources.list.d and delete the zodttd list.
Both solutions I found via the forum of iphoneclub.nl

Well I installed BlackRa1n when I first got my (which was around Christmas 2009) iPod Touch 3g and I installed Cydia and its been working for a long time but now recently it has stopped working for me. Like when I open up Cydia it just goes back to my homescreen and I have tried reinstalling BlackRa1n but nothing happens and I have Installous and it still works. Oh yeah and I have firmware 3.1.2 and I don’t want to update to firmware 3.1.3 just yet because my friends complained about having problems with it. Any ideas of what I should do?
Hi Sherina – did you also try to look inside the Blackra1n and install Rock…?? (as described in this post)
Furthermore; the program Rock is doing about the same as Cydia (some say; even better)…
I would also recommend to NOT update to 3.1.2 IF you want to keep it in jailbreak.
