Daemon Tools; add a virtual drive to your comp
Lot of people probably heard of this one “Daemon Tools“; but just do not know what it does….
First of all; it makes a virtual drive on your computer.
And what can you do with Daemon Tools…??
A lot of people make exact copies of their CDs or DVDs (called an “image”)…. examples are *.iso / *.cue / *.nrg (useful program for that is IMGburn)
Maybe you even have been downloading movies? And sometimes they have these extensions.
In Daemon Tools you can “mount” those files; this means – it is going to pretend to have an extra cd/dvd/blu-ray drive on your computer – and you can load your file into that drive.
So; this way you can play your iso/cue/nrg/etc file – without first burning it onto a real cd/dvd/blu-ray.
The advantage; if you have a movie you just want to watch once….. you can play that one via your daemon tool = so you don’t have to “spend a whole cd/dvd/blu-ray” on it…. and can delete it from your computer after watching it….
OR; you can copy all your music CDs/movie dvds/movie blu-ray to your computer (via IMGburn) and just play them (via daemon tools) from your computer…. No need to find the disc back in your pile of cd/dvd/blu-ray cases……
AND; if you are into “downloading movies/music cds”….. you can first check the quality of the cue/iso/npg/etc file before burning it on a real disc.
